Preparing for another Nor’easter
Do we really need to start preparing for ANOTHER Nor’Easter?
What do you need to do today to keep yourself safe during this next storm?
Did your old “snow storm tradition” include stocking up on alcohol? Staying in bed for 36 hours?
What can you stock up on today to keep yourself healthy? What is most helpful and supportive of your recovery if you are snowed in or lose power?
Here are some ideas:
Plenty of batteries
Food that doesn’t need to be refrigerated or cooked (bananas, avocados, wheat thins, cookies, bread, peanut butter…)
Books and magazines, print out an exercise at home plan (push-ups, jumping jacks, tricep dips, planks…)
Movies, spiritual readings, creative and crafty projects…
Think of ideas that use up your energy and ideas that also allow you to relax. Balance is key.
